After meeting Greg and Chels and getting to know them I realized that the way this day was planned out, from the location to the details, could not have been a better fit for these two. With them being outdoor adventure seekers who love to get away from the city life, the small town of Tulameen, BC, was absolutely perfect for them. Haven’t been to Tulameen? Well, that wouldn’t be a surprise. With a population of 50 people tops, you could almost drive through and not realize you missed it. The reason I say almost is because you’d see the lovely, lakeside setting and without realizing it you’d be stopped and out of your car enjoying its charming peacefulness. I had made a trip to the wedding location a few days before and the lake was calm, almost like glass; we joked that the wedding should have been that day because it was so unusually and beautifully calm. But, with the wedding gods on their side, I arrived to the lakeside cabins and looked out to a stunning, perfectly calm lake for their special day! This day was amazing from start to finish. With these two being avid fishers, saying ‘I do’ on a wooden dock was absolutely fitting, and the ceremony was topped off with them cruising away across the lake in a small fishing boat!
After spending time on an awesome old bridge overlooking the lake, we headed to the reception where friends and family laughed, cried, and danced more than I have ever seen before! Getting to see a different part of BC I had never seen, as well as getting to witness the full-of-life love that these two share are just a couple reasons why capturing this special day was nothing short of amazing.
I can’t thank you both enough for choosing me to photograph your wedding day; you two, along with everybody else at the wedding, absolutely made me feel at home. Thank You!
