Best of 2016 – British Columbia Wedding Photographer
It brings me a huge amount of emotion to get to share with you my favourite moments of 2016 that I had the chance to capture as a traveling/British Columbia wedding photographer. It is without a doubt a year that I’ll never forget.
From engaged love on the peaks of mountain tops to I do’s in lush vineyards. To smelling the ocean air for a stunning wedding on Victoria island to flying out to Ontario for a darling forest wedding the following weekend. I couldn’t be more grateful as to where my photography takes me. To the sleepless triple wedding weekends that I wouldn’t change for anything.Because well, that’s a huge amount of love packed into one weekend that leaves me tired but with an absolute full heart. To a downpour of rain on the rooftop of the Eldorado with nothing but smiles (and wet shoes) to hopping on a plane at 4 in the morning afterwards to capture a wedding in Seattle the following day at one of the most incredible castles that I’ve seen, inside and out. I was named a Top 30 under 30 Canadian Photographer by CPC and also a Top 10 British Columbia Wedding Photographer by Junebug Weddings. Capturing couples on Harley’s in the sunset and boating down Lake Okanagan to a stellar wedding ceremony over looking a vineyard. Chasing light through the foggiest caves to an urban feel capturing true love in the heart of Gastown. I almost can’t type fast enough for the memories that come flooding into my mind when thinking of the past year. I could keep describing these memories in words yet why would I when I can do something even better, show them in photographs! In the end of it all, each memory is tied to such a true connection and love between two people that I’m absolutely honoured to have photographed. I couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of you souls who have chosen me to capture these special moments in your life! “Thank you” couldn’t be said enough.
2016 surpassed every expectation that this wedding photographer had, yet it is crazy to say that 2017 looks even wilder!
